What is SnipSVG?
SnipSVG is a screen capture and editing utility with a difference: Instead of saving in traditional bitmap formats, SnipSVG uses primarily SVG vector images, although you can also save as standard bitmaps and our native SnipX format. SVG images can be used directly in HTML and many other applications. They give you the same sharp quality at all zoom settings, and unlike JPG or PNG images you can always edit all the elements of the image separately. See Save Formats for full details on all the formats supported in SnipSVG.
Why does SnipSVG focus on SVG vector images?
SnipSVG primarily uses the SVG format to save screenshots. Learn about the 3 most important reasons why SVG is superior to regular JPEG or PNG images.
